Coro femminile "Sucho" di Seul
Il coro femminile "Sucho"
e' stato fondato nell'ambito della magnifestazione culturale "Cultura
al mio paese" che organizzo' il comune di Seul nel 1991.
female choir was founded in the context of the "Culture in My Country"
festival organized by the city of Seoul in 1991. Following the success
of their inaugural concert in October 1991 they have performed at several
concerts and cultural festivals, as well as giving two regular concerts
a year. They have also organized several cultural festivals in the various
regions of South Korea.
Their repertoire focuses on popular music, in line with the choir's aim to bring ordinary people closer to music, but this has not prevented them from enriching their repertoire with Christian sacred music. Despite the cultural diversity reflected in the choir's membership - composed of Protestants, Catholics, Buddhists etc. - they are very happy to perform Christian sacred music, as on this occasion. The choir is currently lead by Jun Chang Sub, a well-known opera singer and professor of music at the University, and specialist in choral music.
