The Sabina region has a rich culinary heritage, and has been famous since ancient times for the quality of its food and drink, in particular its olive oil, one of the best in the world.

Other local products include cheese, meat, honey, fungi and fruit. Their high quality is thanks to a way of working the land which has resisted industrialization; older, more environmentally friendly methods continue to be used here simply because they work well.
